But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
        2 Peter 3:18
Grace Presbyterian Church has a long history of children’s ministry. First
was Sunday school, then Vacation Bible School, and later Pioneer Girls, Boys
Brigade, children’s choir, special education, special needs, Tuesday Bible study,
and home schooling were added. Then outside our doors are Adopt-A-School,
Good News Clubs, and Mission Peoria. In all these we strive to share’s God’s love
and grace, His forgiveness, comfort, and strength to all the children.
When we grow in grace and know our Savior, we are not as likely to stray from
God. As children’s ministry leaders, it is easy to become discouraged and wonder
if what we say and do really makes a difference.
You throw a stone in the pond, and the ripples keep going. That stone doesn’t
know what God is doing. You never know what your faithful obedience will do.
Jesus encouraged us to continue to grow in grace and knowledge so that we may
know Him better as our Lord and Savior.
A young man was walking on the beach. He picked up a starfish and threw it into
the ocean. As the starfish met the water, he said, “I made a difference to that one!”
So we too can make a difference to the children we teach or assist.

God, help us to grow in grace and knowledge of You daily and to keep the
        ripples going.
