Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

I recently attended high school orientation for our oldest child. How can
this be? Only yesterday it seems he was an adorable two-year-old, building towers
with his blocks. The days may go by slowly, but the years go by so fast. Change can
be difficult, especially for this momma’s heart.
We are creatures of habit. Many of us prefer to maintain the same schedule, the
same hairstyle, the same routine. We like things to stay the way they have always
been because it is comfortable and familiar. But we live in a world that is always
changing. How awesome that in a world of uncertainty, God is the One who
remains true!

God is faithful. God is unchanging. He never fails or gives up. He doesn’t quit or
change His mind based on feelings or circumstances. He is always with us. He is
the same yesterday and today and forever.

Dear Jesus, I praise You for You are always faithful, unchanging, and true.
Thank You for remaining steadfast in the midst of a changing world. Help me
to cling to You in the midst of the uncertainties of life for You are my strength.
