P. 13

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
History is His story. God uses His people as He unfolds the story of His
redemption to the world. God can use any of His creations, as He used a donkey
to talk to Balaam (Numbers 22) and a raven to bring food for Elijah (1 Kings 17).
However, most importantly, He chooses His people to continue His work and
            bless others.
Our church is full of people who serve sacrificially. One such family comes to our
mind. They love the international community God has brought to Peoria. Their
love for Christ is evident in their unconditional service. They teach driving so
that the newbies can be independent. They give rides, they babysit our children,
and cook our food. Above all, they are always there to support, care, and give
of themselves. Their genuine and unconditional love causes people to ask the
            motivation behind such service.

Each person is God’s masterpiece, His unique artwork that displays His glory.
God divinely orchestrates and inspires His people, so their passions for service
are aligned with His purposes. Only in eternity will we know the impact of our
willingness to serve and be used by God. Meanwhile, He continues to join our
stories with His story, and in doing so, He delights to work through us.
Dear Lord, thank You for this church and the people who reflect Your love
through their service. Provide us all with Your strength, and help us seek ways
to serve and bless others in the community.
