But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach
you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. John 14:26
As a young mother, I attended the Moms and More group at Grace. The
teachings were always just what I needed at that time. In my mind I thought, “This
baffles me. How can the leader pick studies that are personalized just for me?”
With time and more understanding of the Helper, the Holy Spirit, I stopped giving
the leader credit and knew that the Holy Spirit was with me and teaching me.
Jesus said, “I will ask the Father and he will give you another Helper, to be with
you forever, even the Spirit of truth…You know him, for he dwells with you and
will be in you” (John 14:16–17). The Holy Spirit is alive in us. God did not leave
us alone. We always have His Spirit when we are His children. The gift of the Holy
Spirit is an example of God’s grace and kindness in our everyday lives.
Now, I am still in awe of the Spirit when Pastor Bryan preaches a sermon about a
topic that has been on my heart, I understand new truths in a familiar Scripture
passage or a friend comes to my mind and I stop to pray. The Holy Spirit is
        working in our lives!

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit to teach us
and to help us remember what You have said. Help us to be sensitive and lis-
tening for Your voice so we can glorify You and be a blessing to others.
