For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord. Romans 6:23
Not long after I gave my life to Christ, this verse became a theme for me. Sin
leading to death; not an option a Christian wants to think about. Yet all those
without Christ are dead, and hell is the only option. By God’s grace, I was saved
from this death and given eternal life through Christ. God paid dearly for me
through the death of His own Son. And Christ—He paid dearly for me with His
own life.
Grace, love—all for a broken sinner like me. So when I look at the lost, I see the old
me. I want everyone to have what God so graciously gave to me through Christ.
What a wonderful gift we as Grace Church are giving as we open our doors to all
peoples, as Christ has asked us to do. As fellow sinners we are reaching out to the
lost, showing God’s grace and eternal life to them.
Lord, help us see our lost brothers and sisters with God’s eyes, giving grace
and love to each and every one, as Christ has told us to. Please open our hearts
to all peoples in Your name. In Christ Jesus, amen.
