For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your
servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone
in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus
Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power
belongs to God and not to us. 2 Corinthians 4:5–7
Having been involved at Grace since college—20 years ago!—I’ve certainly
been challenged to grow in my walk with Christ through not only the preaching,
but the music ministry as well.
However, for the past two years, as executive producer of Pastor Bryan’s “Unlimited
Grace” radio program, I’ve been able to immerse myself in these grace-centered
messages five days a week. This has allowed me a deeper reflection in the truth
that “it ain’t about us…it’s about Jesus.”
Being reminded to look at my sinful, broken life through the filter of God’s
amazing grace has brought about a greater sense of His love for me, and in turn,
my love for Him has grown as well.
Lord, thank You for Your unfailing, unceasing, and unwavering love for us.
May we be reminded daily that we can never earn it…it’s Your gift to us.
