Longitude + Altitude = Attitude
The Lord has prepared me throughout my life spiritually and emotionally.
Longitude is the length from one point to another point. The length of my life
through dealing with the emotional ups and downs of a demanding parent
since I was small was very difficult. I thought I was supposed to meet needs and
expectations without it affecting me emotionally. When I tried to do this on my
own, I would become depleted, and felt unworthy as a daughter. The accusations
and attacks would leave me in emotional turmoil.

Altitude is “altus” in Latin. It means to nourish and cause to grow. As I accepted
that I was the Lord’s daughter and He is faithful to me, I began to grow and be
nourished through His Word and others that He put in my life. Psalm 112:7 NIV
says, “They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in
the Lord.” He has changed my attitude to rely on His love for me. He is taking me
through the tough times and will sustain me in the future.

Lord, thank You that You are always with us. You hold us by our right hand
and guide us with Your counsel.
