Isaiah 46:9–10 NASB
“Remember the former things long past,”
Look back: Has God changed you?
“For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me,”
Look up: We serve the perfect, holy God of eternity who chose to save us knowing
it would cost His Son’s life.
“Declaring the end from the beginning,”
Look it up: The Bible reveals many supernatural prophecies fulfilled, and some
still future.
“And from ancient times things which have not been done,”
Look around: There are jobs to be done. What are you doing? Recall C.T. Studd’s
famous quote, “If Jesus Christ be God, and died for me, no sacrifice too great
can be.”
“Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure’”
Look forward: God is the victor. We rejoice that one day every knee will bow, and
every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father
(Philippians 2:9–11).
Lord, thank You that we can look back and remember Your faithfulness. We
praise You for there is no one like You. We thank You for Your Word and the
many opportunities You give us to serve. And we thank You that You won the
victory!
