“A Grace Family Christmas: Gloria!”

The songs we sing and their stories remind us that God brings glory from humble places. Some of these songs came from humble beginnings, like "Silent Night" written by a poor Austrian priest. Some of these songs helped bring peace in times of unrest, like "O Holy Night" being sung together across the French and German battle lines in WWI. Some hymns helped evangelize empires, like "Of the Father’s Love Begotten" to the Roman Empire. Many of these songs and their writers have changed the world around them, but they are only a glimmer of the true Humble Beginning, who came in a manger to ultimately change the world and bring salvation. We sing songs of our Savior, for we need His redeeming grace, and these songs remind us that He delights to use us to herald His good news around the world, and so we sing, “Glory to God in the highest! And peace to His people on earth!”
