Statement of Faith
In the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. |
In one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. |
That Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. |
That man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and from this sinful nature proceeds all actual sins. Both original and actual, transgresses the righteous law of God and brings guilt upon the sinner. |
That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him and accept Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. |
In the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and in His ascension into Heaven where He serves as our High Priest and Advocate. |
In the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
That salvation is by grace through faith, and that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become spiritual children of God. |
