Dan & Carol Learned

Dan is the Executive director for Youth for Christ in Central Illinois  and is responsible to lead and grow the ministry to junior high and high school students in the 2 county area (Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford).  His role is to supervise, fund raise, and market the ministry.  They have evangelistic Campus Life clubs in Metamora and Chillicothe, and are working to expand to Pekin, Woodruff and Manual.  They also sustain their work at the Children's Home.  Youth Network has been established where youth pastors from the area come for monthly lunch, connection, encouragement and fellowship,.

Dan as Director of YFC is passionate about reaching high school and junior high school students with the gospel message of Jesus Christ. We do this through Campus Life Clubs, Children's Home ministries, Leadership Development, and periodic events.

Please pray Colossians 4:3-4 for us: "And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ… Pray that we may proclaim it clearly, as we should".

Family Information:
Dan & Carol Learned live in Washington Illlinois with their 4 children: Amy, Wesley,  Jessica  and Benjamin . As a family they love to laugh, play, read, and watch Veggietales. Their school-age kids attend Central Grade School. As a family, we're very thankful for our excellent teachers and administrators. Amy "does" piano, track, softball, tumbling, and gets better report cards than her folks did. She also makes some "mean" scrambled eggs (almost as good as Daddy's). Wesley loves the outdoors, bugs, baseball, basketball, reading and has a tender heart for the down-trodden. Jessica is our passionate one who often has the "best day of her life" and the "worst day of her life" - all on the same day. And finally, we sometimes call Benjamin "chocolate", because of his focussed persistence on searching out and finding chocolate.
