 Brian & Karen Cordes
Missionary to CEF Camp Good News as Facilities Manager
General Information
After many years of service with Mission Aviation Fellowship, Brian has joined the team at Child Evangelism Fellowship Camp Good News in Washington, Illinois as the camp's new Facilities Manager. He is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the camp buildings and grounds, as well as coordinating with volunteer groups from local churches who help in many ways from cleaning, to painting, to constructing buildings.
Family information:
Brian and Karen Cordes, along with their children, Zachary, Janelle and Bradley first served in Borneo, Indonesia, where Brian was the Chief of Maintenance for West Kalimantan. Next, they worked at the MAF headquarters in California in the Maintenance Training Department.
They have moved to East Peoria, IL and September 1, 2006 was the date of transfer to the Camp position. They have become very active in their local church.
Family Information
Brian was born and raised in Washburn IL He asked Jesus to be his Savior when he was four. Before his senior year in high school, God led Brian to commit his future to serving Christ. He attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and Moody Aviation in Elizabethton, Tennessee, where he earned a B.S. in Aviation Maintenance.
Karen was born in St Charles, IL to TEAM missionaries and at the age of 5 weeks her family moved to Venezuela. Karen was 7 years old when she accepted Christ. While attending Moody Bible Institute she committed her heart to serving as a full-time missionary. She and Brian married in July 1989.
