Shelter Ministries is a hospitality service for evangelical missionaries. Our goal is to “Provide Rest and Renewal for Missionary Families.” Shelter Pines, our retreat center, is on 20 acres of wooded and pastoral countryside in the Black Forest region just 25 minutes NE of Colorado Springs.

Tim Westberg, Shelter Ministries Director, and his wife, Lynn, were on staff with The Navigators for 26 years. They raised their two children while serving in central Mexico for 11 years.

While many missionaries come to Colorado to interact with their organizations or to visit the many attractions in the area, the main objective of Shelter Ministries is to bring people to Jesus so He can meet with them. Shelter Pines is a safe place for you to rest, walk, pray, read, play with your kids, get re-acquainted with your spouse, be refreshed, evaluate, renew and regroup.
