Sandy & Randy Weyeneth
Navigator Representative and serving in The Navigators Collegiate Office
General Information
Randy and Sandy previously ministered to Marines and their families at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, California. They ministered in evangelism, one-to-one discipleship, Bible studies, small groups and various ministry events and training.
In 2007, they moved to Colorado Springs to work with The Navigators College Ministry. They continue to disciple others and they serve in communications and funding, training, resourcing our collegiate staff and alumni, and other ministry project areas. They help support almost 700 collegiate Navigator staff/missionaries who minister to college students on 170 campuses. Across the country, college students are hearing the Gospel and being personally discipled to grow in Christ.
Randy served in the Marine Corps for twenty years as an infantry officer, including a command billet on the USS Tarawa during the Persian Gulf War. Prior to the Marines Corp, he trusted in Jesus Christ at a Young Life camp when he was 16 years old. He then went to college in California was involved with The Navigator ministry. After graduating, he joined the Marine Corps for leadership training and to be a witness for Christ. He enjoyed his duty assignments and he retired from the Marine Corps in 1993. He was a single parent for almost ten years raising three daughters who are all grown and living on their own now. Sandy’s maiden name is Buschman. She grew up with a church background and came to personal relationship with Christ through The Navigator ministry at BallStateUniversity in Indiana. After college, she worked In Muncie, Indiana for a few years and helped out with the BSU ministry. She then worked full time for The Navigators for many years in various support and training functions in Peoria, Illinois and in Colorado Springs. She has gone on five short-term missions trips, one to Kenya and four to Russia, primarily for relational evangelism efforts through English Camps.
Randy and Sandy married in 2001. Their engaging “God-story” of how He brought them together in an amazing way is told in Sandy’s book, Love Worth the Wait – Trusting God for Real Romance and Real Relationship. Sandy also wrote the Writing Exceptional Missionary Newsletters.
