Many people call this age the "terrible twos". 

At Grace, we call this the

"Terrific Twos"!

Our two-year-old department is for children who are two-years-old through the month of their 3rd birthday.  It is located in the Southeast corner, past Toddlers.

Your child is growing and learning at lightening speed!  In the two-year-old department, we encourage the children to learn and grow in the Lord.  Even a young child can sing songs, learn simple Bible verses, hear Bible stories, and learn important Bible truths, such as how much Jesus loves them.  In return, there is no sweeter sound than hearing a child reply, "I Wuv Desus, too!"  :) 

Our Two-Year-Old department Staff recognizes the developmental transition the children are making from toddler to child.  Your child is beginning to be able to sit for Bible stories and sing songs in a group.  We incorporate teaching, singing, crafts, and snack time into the morning.  However, we know young children have a hard time sitting still and can't stay focused on one thing for very long.  Therefore, we also devote ample time to play with the children during our free time.    

The safety of all the children is very important to us.  We have a strict pick up policy.  When you drop off your child, you will need to fill out a white "redemption card."  One half of the card stays with us.  The other half goes with you.  When it's time to pick up your child, only a person who has the other half of the card may pick up your child.  Neither parents nor grandparents can take your child from the department unless they have the corresponding half of the redemption card.  We want to ensure the safety of all children.

We strive to keep our nurseries as clean and healthy as possible.  We will not allow any sick children into our nursery, for the health of all the children.  In addition, all toys and equipment get washed and disinfected weekly.  Clorox Wipes and Disinfecting Spray are on hand to wipe down toys and equipment as needed.  Maintaining a healthy environment is important to us.

We also have a Little Lambs program which runs in conjunction with our women's Tuesday Bible Studies (T.B.S.).
