God’s Design for Purity is a program intended to help parents and their adolescent children understand and prepare for the amazing changes that take place throughout puberty and the basics of human sexuality. Children need to understand that they are made in the image of God and their sexual nature is a beautiful and exciting gift from their Creator. God has called us each to purity of heart, mind and body. This program is devised to help parents teach and guide their children into a lifestyle of Christian purity.
God’s Design for Purity is a series consisting of a Parent Forum and special classes designed for parent and child, based on age and gender, with informative discussions concerning puberty, sexuality and abstinence. Each child will need to be accompanied by an adult of the same gender who is committed to helping the child through adolescence.
Due to sensitivity of subject matter, the Parent Forum is mandatory . This session will include a presentation from our special guest speaker followed by an opportunity for parents to preview the material presented within the 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade events. Parents and/or a significant same gender adult in the child’s life (grandparent, aunt/uncle, close adult friend) will need to attend this meeting before bringing a boy or girl to any of the purity events.
God's Design for Purity is offered every other year. 2011 will be the next time we will offer this event.
This Parent Forum is open to all adults but Mandatory
in order to attend the parent/child events.
