Fifth & Sixth Grade
It's the beginning of the "tween" years. Fifth and sixth graders don't consider themselves children any longer but they are not quite adults either. That's why we have created a special department just for them.
Understanding that these are crucial years when children begin to ask many spiritual questions, their questions are answered openly and honestly using the Bible as the source for truth. We are thrilled to have an opportunity to teach, guide, and befriend children during these special years when faith becomes personal.
Fifth and Sixth Grade meet on the Lower Level in room B-13/B-14. Sunday School is from 9:45 to 10:45.
What we do on Sunday Mornings:
Your child will start in a large group for a time of welcome, introduction, and singing active praise songs.
Around 10:15, the children meet in a small group. The students are separated by grade and gender. Their teacher will also be of the same gender. Here, they will have a Bible lesson. The specific format of this time is determined by the individual teachers, based on the students and personalities of all involved. All do activities to encourage the students to bond together, including prayer time, discussion time, and group memory work, in addition to the actual Bible Lesson. Your child may also recite their Well-Versed Kidz verses to their small group teacher.
