Recognizing God
Real Life, Real Jesus

Ready to start this new year different from the rest? What if this is the year you get to know God even better and the reality of Him in your daily life?

Women’s Ministry is hosting a three-part speaker series—February 2, 9, and 16, 2022. All women (high school and up) are invited. The usual MWG classes will be on hold until February 23, 2022.

We want to help women go deeper with God by knowing Him more fully and growing in our love for Him. We will then explore how to translate this knowledge and love into our lives by loving others well.

We would love for you to join us for any or all sessions. We will meet 6:30–8:00 p.m. We will have refreshments and time to discuss the material in small groups. Come and spend time recognizing God and all He has for you in 2022.

Sessions

February 2, 2022: God in Real Life—Every Day, All Day | Brenda Garrison

As women we are unique in the way God designed us. We care for others, we have insights and perspectives that are unique to us, we care deeply about our families, friends, and the passions God has put in our hearts. But do we know how deeply God cares for us? How He sees us always and provides all we need when we need it? In our first session together, we will:

  • Get to know God better by seeing how He cared for, interacted with, and provided for women in the Bible.
  • Know we are never alone or isolated.
  • Be empowered and encouraged to live the passion God has placed in their hearts.

UPDATE: Session 1 of the Women’s Conference, "God in Real Life—Every Day, All Day," taught by Brenda Garrison, will be offered live via Zoom from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Connect a few minutes before 6:30 at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84388577100. If you have any questions beforehand, contact Brenda Garrison.

February 9, 2022: Prayer in Real Life | Jorie Dahlin

“Real life” is busy, messy, and full of distractions. In the midst of all that, how do we flip spiritual disciplines, so they are joyful and life-giving, instead of boring and guilt-inducing? Our second session will feature thoughts, ideas, and practical tips on how to use the way God has made YOU—with your own unique gifts, skills, and interests—to connect with God daily, and consistently deepen your connection with Him.

February 16, 2022: Love God ... Love People | Glory Christian

(Matthew 22:37-40)
The first and greatest commandment Jesus gave us is to love God with our whole being. This means that our love for God permeates every aspect of our life—our emotions, intellect, will and might. The second commandment is to love our neighbor as ourselves. We can only truly love others if we first love God, and we can only love God, because He first loved us. He has poured out his love and filled our hearts so we in turn are empowered to pour out His love to others.
