Grace Kidz Crossing Over Event

Dear children’s ministry servant,

We invite you to join us at the new facility on Wednesday, August 25, 6:30-8:00 p.m., for the “Grace children’s ministry visioning/celebrating/planning/equipping/eating/drinking/touring/meeting/strategizing/inspiring/laughing/answering/befriending event.”  [The short title is “Grace Kidz Crossing Over Event.”]

We invite all children’s ministry servants from Sunday morning, mid-week clubs, transition volunteers, VBS, and all ministries that are connected with children’s ministry to join us for this fun and inspiring event.  We also invite those who would like to join us in children’s ministry in any capacity.   We invite all adults and teens who volunteer in children’s ministry.

The festive evening will look like this:

-          Arrival, music, snacks, and drinks in the new fellowship hall/gym

-          Update on exciting things taking place in children’s ministry

-          Presentation on the transition to the new facility and how we will make disciples for life in the new location

-          Presentation on being a friendly, welcoming children’s ministry—including specific, ready-to-apply principles and tips for department and club leaders, teachers, helpers, and kids!

-          Break-out time:  During this portion of the meeting, you will go to your particular department or club meeting room for orientation with your department or club leader, as applicable.  If you’re involved with Grace Kidz in multiple ways (for example, Sunday morning and Wednesday evening) or occasionally during the year (for example, VBS), we’ll let you know that evening where to go first, second, third, etc. during the break-out time.

If possible, please arrange your own child care for the evening.  If not, please contact Lisa Rutledge at lrutledge@gracepres.org or 688-3641.  We are compiling a list of teens who have volunteered to help with in-your-home child care for this evening. 

It will help us immensely to have a head count for the evening.  Please contact Lisa as indicated above to let us know that you’re planning to attend.  Spouses and friends are more than welcome to attend.  It’s going to be a fun and informative evening.
